BeFre® can collect anonymous or aggregated information of a non-personal nature, such as browser type or IP address, the operating system you use or domain name of the website from which you came to the BeFre® website or to which you go when you leave the site.
When a message is posted to the forums, the poster’s IP address is displayed. Sometimes the IP address of a proxy server is also visible in brackets. The purpose of this is to increase the authenticity and integrity of messages by preventing people from posting messages under someone else’s name.
